Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin are Britain’s most successful dressage riders. Five-time Olympian Carl has mentored Charlotte throughout her career. Charlotte Susan Jane Dujardin CBE is a British dressage rider, equestrian and writer. A multiple World and Olympic champion, Dujardin has been described as the dominant dressage rider of her era. Edinburgh's Equestrian Centre was the perfect venue to host a high profile sold out dressage masterclass showing how the dressage duo work together. We have worked with Abby and the team at Equestrian Management Agency on several sporting events around the country.
Event Services
We supplied a complete d&b audio system and Allen and Heath SQ series control package including wireless handheld and headset microphones for presenters and riders during the live event. With every movement in the arena needing to be visible by the audience meant we had to design and deploy a very low profile audio solution as to not obstruct the audiences view. The commentary from Carl and Charlotte must also be crystal clear for the audience to hear every word in a venue with not very forgiving acoustics. We selected the d&b E6 for all the above reasons and the system sounded great with multiple boxes equally positioned along the edge of the arena facing audience members. The coaxial speaker with rotatable 100° x 55° dispersion did a great job with equal audio levels reaching the front and back rows. For some extra throw at the two larger stands back rows we selected four Martin Audio XD12 speakers in bi-amp mode positioned on heavy duty crank stands for the job. The event was a great success and since Edinburgh we have supplied several other bespoke audio systems for similar sporting events.
