Lighting is one of the most impactful elements for any live event, capable of transforming a space, setting the mood, directing attention, and enhancing the overall experience. Hiring the right lighting involves considering the type of event, the venue, and your budget.

Types of Lighting Fixtures to Consider:

• LED Uplighters: Wash walls, pillars, or backdrops with colour, create ambiance, or provide general stage wash. Many are battery-powered and IP-rated (for outdoor use).
• Moving head Lights: Dynamic lighting effects. They can pan, tilt, change colours, project patterns (gobos), and create aerial effects.
• Spotlights: Create sharp, defined beams of light. Used to highlight speakers, performers, or specific set elements.
• Blinders / Strobes & Laser Effects: Intense, high-impact light bursts for dramatic effect. Often used in conjunction with music in concerts or dance events.
• LED Battens & Pixel Tubes: Create linear lighting effects, often pixel-mappable for intricate visual displays. Can be used as backlighting, wall washes, or creative set elements.
• Hazers & Fog Machines: Crucial for making light beams visible in the air. Hazers create a fine, even mist, while foggers produce thicker, more opaque smoke.
